Burnsville, MN (January 2018): Telex is pleased to announce the next generation of its flagship C-Soft dispatch control software. C-Soft version 7.5 extends the optional capabilities of the current platform while retaining its proven reliability, flexibility, cost-effectiveness and user-friendliness.
The P25 CSSI interface option utilizes the P25 CSSI standard as specified in TIA-102 BAGA, and provides a direct IP connection between the dispatch system and the radio system infrastructure. A wide range of functions are supported. These include group call, private call, call alert, announcement call, system call, short message, status query/update, radio unit monitor, radio unit check, radio detach, radio inhibit, emergency alarm, emergency acknowledgement, and more.
As an additional value-add, support for P25 DFSI is also included in this option, so customers now have a choice of up to 24 lines per position that can be assigned on a per-line basis to P25 CSSI or P25 DFSI. The P25 CSSI interface has passed testing conducted by Tait on their P25 TN9400 Phase I and Phase II systems, earning C-Soft version 7.5 a certificate from the Tait Technology Partner Program. Additional testing with infrastructure from other radio manufacturers is planned based on customer demand. The P25 CSSI interface allows customers a choice beyond radio manufacturer-specific dispatch solutions.
Support for DES and AES 256-bit, FIPS 140-2 encryption allows users to rest assured that their critical communications are secure from end-to-end. Support for our third-party API (application programming interface) further allows customers a choice when it comes to customizing and integrating C-Soft with other systems, such as computer aided dispatch (CAD).
