“The Telex RTS system was chosen for both of the new CBT production trucks because of its reliability, flexibility, dependability and clarity,” explains Ron Thomas; systems engineer for Erlanger, KY based Charlson Broadcast Technologies. “The system is performing well and after the initial power-up not a thing has been changed.”The Telex gear in use at Ellis Park consists of a PS-31 power supply, two SAP-612 assignment panels, seven MCE-325 programmable user stations, 13 BP-325 two-channel beltpack stations, a 4010 4 IFB central electronics station, and two 4001 IFB control stations. Two RadioCom™ TT-44 wireless IFB transmitters with HGA-1 high-gain antennas and three TR-34 wireless IFB receivers make up the wireless IFB requirement.
“The Telex staff was great to work with, especially product specialist Paulette Wilkins,” says Thomas. “She and the rest of the staff worked very hard to ensure that the equipment I needed was right where it needed to be – in the Charlson production truck”.
