RTS Intercom Systems to receive two Technology and Engineering Emmy® Awards in 2011

  • Broadcast Intercom technology industry leader RTS now has three Emmy® Awards
  • RTS recognized for “Development of Wireless Intercom” for broadcast applications
  • Additional award for “The Belt Pack: Distributed Amplifier Systems in Live Production”
RTS Intercom Systems (a brand of Bosch Security Systems, Inc., Communications Systems Division) is delighted to announce that it will receive two awards at the upcoming National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) 62nd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy® Awards.

RTS, who received their first Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award in 1989, will receive the new awards at a ceremony to be held on Thursday, January 6th at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV.

Launched in 1948, The Technology and Engineering Emmy® Awards honor development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations, and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be recognized at this highest level by our industry colleagues,” says Ralph Strader, Business Line Manager for Telex & RTS Intercom.

The FM-1 (Frequency Manager) interfaces with up to ten BTR-1 base stations. The FM-1 talks to the bases via a CAN bus system. The CAN bus starts at the FM-1 and daisy chains through all the base stations and then back to the FM-1 to terminate.
