• AVIT-Systems hosted post-IBC event on September 27 & 28

• Focus laid on familiarization with new products

• RTS presented VLink in combination with RTS Zeus III LE+ and RTS Color Display keypanels as well as Wi-Fi-based BTR-240 radiocom system

Stavanger/Straubing, November 2012 An elite group of around 40 Norwegian broadcast specialists participated in the post-IBC event in Stavanger, Norway on September 27 & 28. The two-day event, hosted by AVIT-Systems, was centered on up-to-date broadcast technology presented at the IBC three weeks prior. The objective of the meeting was to give regional customers the chance to familiarize themselves with the latest equipment.

During his presentation, Nico Lewis, RTS Senior Sales Manager, experienced great interest in the RTS latest products. A particular focus was laid on VLink, a fully interconnected, DHCP-compliant virtual communications solution for RTS intercom systems. Demonstrated in combination with the latest RTS Zeus III LE+ compact digital intercom as well as RTS Color Display keypanel series, VLink enables remote users to interface with RTS matrix intercoms via the Internet using a simple PC-based application. Nico Lewis: “Never before has connecting to an RTS intercom been so easy. VLink offers an unprecedented degree of control and flexibility from anywhere in the world. With VLink, mobile customers gain additional access via mobile devices.”

Also on the agenda was the new Wi-Fi-based BTR-240 digital multi-channel intercom system. The BTR-240 offers extremely reliable and secure full-duplex communication and can be connected with up to eight wireless TR-240 beltpacks and an almost unlimited number of half-duplex beltpacks.

“Our event was a great success,” says Rolf Noraas Ravndal, sales representative at AVIT-Systems. “Attendee interest in RTS products and solutions was extremely enthusiastic, particularly for the RTS Zeus III LE+ intercom, which was very well received as an ‘all in one’ solution for smaller-scale applications.”
