The Network Recorder monitor software is used to monitor the state of the recorder from a remote location. The monitor software captures notifications from the recorder software in two ways; via a heartbeat signal and instant error/warning messages. If an error or warning should occur, the notification will be instantly sent out by the recorder. The recorder will continue to send the warning/error notification on each heartbeat until the problem has been resolved. E-mail can be enabled to notify recipients of any problems.
