Stratus 30XT

Powerfully clear ANR headset with nearly unlimited battery life

Comfort and Fit

Detented slide adjustment on the headband allows the ear cup to be easily raised or lowered for proper fit. Yoke design allows the ear cup to pivot in two planes assuring proper seal to the head and distributing ear cushion pressure evenly over its entire surface. Ear cup pressure can be adjusted through use of the patented ComfortCam™. 1" thick ear cushions made from heat-sensitive slow recovery foam will conform to your head to provide a perfect seal while eliminating pressure points.

Noise Reduction

The Stratus 30XT has passive noise reduction of greather than 29dB and active noise reduction (ANR) of up to 16dB.

Microphone

The amplified electret noise-cancelling microphone eliminates unwanted cabin noise from entering the communication system. The boom rotates to allow wearing on either side of the head. Retaining hooks are designed into the microphone housing to securely hold the windscreen in place.

Cordage and Plugs

All cables are shielded to protect against RFI. Strain relief is added to all cord entry points to provide protection from tugging. Bend relief is added at high-flex cord entry points to protect against breakage. Separate receiver and microphone plugs are included from plugging into the aircraft radio/intercom system. Cables with plugs for cell phone, cd player, and mp3 use are also included. The batteries are recharged through the included cigarette lighter adapter or AC wall adapter.

Auto Shut-Off

The headset will shut off automatically after 15 minutes in low-noise environments. When Auto Shut-Off is enabled the headset is kept on by communication over the aircraft intercom system, cell phone conversations, listening to music, and cabin noise greater than 90dB.

Battery/User Interface Module

The module puts most commonly used controls at a pilot's fingertips. There is a jack for cell phone use and an auxiliary input for listening to a portable music player. The power on/off button turns on and off all functions to and from the headset except intercom functions. The accessory mute button quickly and completely disables all functions while maintaining radio/intercom communication. Power on/off and low battery are indicated by the LED and charging is done through the DC input jack.
